$350M Plan Would Redevelop Freighthouse Area

By Ian Ritter A $350-million plan made up of multi-story mixed-use buildings, including hundreds of residential units, has been submitted to the city in an ambitious move to transform the Freighthouse area, just to the south of The Crossroads neighborhood.

Downtown living is for gays, inherited wealth kiddos, brats, snobs, and assorted idiots. The "city life" that you're paying for is paltry. When in KC, buy a house, settle in, and relax.

Don't ruin Kansas City.

I didn't read anything about TIF or tax abatement. Could they be financing this on their own ? If so, good for them. Maybe others will follow suit.
