KANSAS CITY OUTDOOR CONCERTS THREATENED BY CLIMATE CHANGE?!?!

The local example cited in this report offers a glimpse at fans installed at Starlight . . . Because, I guess, it never used to get hot during the Summer before 2016.

Meanwhile . . . The impact of extreme weather on the cowtown social scene might go unnoticed given that everybody spends their time at home gawking at their phone, tablet or not-so-smart-TV . . . And so, apparently the sky is falling and there's one more thing to blame on Prez Trump. Checkit:

How Extreme Weather Is Changing The Entertainment Industry In Kansas City And Around The U.S.

In Kansas City and across the country, performance venues and artists have had to make adjustments due to more extreme weather events. And when it comes to climate change, there's one thing arts organizations need to do: "Prepare." That's according to Karin Rabe, properties master at the Alley Theatre in Houston, where flooding is a growing concern.

  1. We can do NOTHING about the weather. Move Starlight to JoCo and build an indoor venue with fake stars overhead. I would actually go if it were moved out of the dangerous part of town. And, while we're at it....look for a new location for the KC Zoo.

  2. Oh Gawd..., shut the fuck up. Climate change is a HOAX and only dumb ass bartenders from New York believe in it.

    Jesus...

  5. Chuck, as screwed up as the Weather has become during the last two decades, can you imagine how bad it would be if those damn commie tree huggers had been right and there was such a thing as Climate Change?

  6. ^^ Please explain in detail Gary just exactly how the weather has changed in the last two decades. It's still hot in the summer and cold in the winter. Go outside today?

  8. Only a leftist criminal believes in climate change. It’s a favorite scam of the queer buttfucker community also which is why child molester byron is all in on it. If the queers can all scream climate change it will divert attention away from the fact they’re disease carrying sickos that are trying to subvert civilization and destroy society

  9. ^^^^ You describe Republicans harshly, but you're pretty accurate.

  10. man-made climate change is nothing more than an attempt to TAX AIR. dumb asses can't explain why there were trees on Antarctica in the past.

  11. The IPCC's most recent report on the subject finds scant evidence of increases in extreme weather events.

I doubt that the journalists who print such tripe have ever so much as glanced at, much less tried to analyze, source documents like IPCC reports.

  12. nobody with a brain thinks climate change is an issue. If they did and thought it would lead to the end of the world we'd have gone to war with India and China since they pollute more in one year than the entire US does over 100 years

  13. Outdoor concerts are threatened by the TAX PAY SUPPORTED FREE RIDE that is given to the SPRINT CENTER and KCPL MONEY PITS. How can starlight, and sandstone compete with a stadium that gets free taxpayer-funded utilities, services and rent?

  14. It never even got to 99 degrees in Kansas City this year. That might be a first. I don't recall a summer when it didn't reach 100 degrees in the K.C. area. It got to 98 degrees twice in a row over a two-day period. Let the chants of "global cooling" begin!

  15. Kansas City had zero official triple digit temps this past summer. In fact, Kansas City Missouri has experienced only 2 triple-digit days in the last 7 years (Sept. 8, 2013 and July 12, 2018) recorded at KCI airport, the official recording station. Sixty years ago KCMO officially recorded at least 66 triple-digit days in the 7 years from 1953-59. Global warming is old news wrapped in media hysteria.
