KCPD searching for suspect in Northland hit-and-run

The Kansas City Police Department is asking for help to identify an individual in connection with a hit-and-run crash in the Northland last weekend.Police said the crash happened on Nov. 23 at North Ash Avenue and Northeast Cookingham Drive.The suspect's vehicle, as seen in the video, will likely be damaged.Anyone with information on her identity is asked to call the KCPD Traffic Investigation Unit at 816-482-8296.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the second year in a row, Christmas feels a little different for one Raytown family. To get into the holiday spirit, Juan Victorino-Griffin and his family spent the past few days putting up Christmas decorations in their front yard. On display were 22 Christmas inflatables, including Santa, Frosty and Mickey Mouse.

KCK police investigating deadly shooting near 57th and Parallel

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- Kansas City, Kansas police are investigating after one person was shot and killed Tuesday afternoon. The incident was reported around just after 3 p.m. near 57th and Parallel Parkway, near Crestwood Apartments. When officers arrived on scene they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The police chief of the Village of Ferrelview in Platte County, Missouri, is facing discipline for tampering with public records. According to court documents, Chief Daniel Clayton admitted to writing citations nine days after a woman's arrest and backdating the time issued.

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a Kansas man has admitted swindling the buyer of an online pharmacy business. The U.S. attorney's office said in a news release that 37-year-old Jeffrey P. Wilson of Olathe pleaded guilty Monday to one count of wire fraud.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that the states highest court rejected on Wednesday a legal interpretation by the lower Kansas Court of Appeals that had granted Daquantrius Johnson a new trial on firearms charges.
