PETA: ARROWHEAD STADIUM IS A TOP 'VEGAN-FRIENDLY' FOOTBALL STADIUM

Home of the Chiefs Wins Big With Vegan Sausages, Burgers, and More

Kansas City, Mo. — The results are in for PETA's first-ever ranking of the top 10 vegan-friendly football stadiums—and the Kansas City Chiefs' Arrowhead Stadium has won a place in the lineup, taking the number five spot for its vegan twists on traditional stadium food.

Starting this season is the Out of Town Burger—a grilled Beyond Meat patty with all the fixings tucked inside a vegan bun. Other go-to options include a vegan sausage made with cauliflower, walnuts, and wild rice and served with maple-walnut tapenade and cran-apple slaw; deep-fried cauliflower with hot sauce on a bed of seasoned curly fries from The Coop locations; and more.

"Arrowhead Stadium is sending kind fans scrambling for its delicious vegan game-day fare," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "All the stadiums on PETA's list are winning by a blowout margin when it comes to meeting the huge demand for animal-friendly food."

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that "animals are not ours to eat"—notes that opting for vegan fuel is a surefire way for football fans to ensure that they're around to enjoy many more seasons, as vegans have a lower risk of suffering from heart disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity, and cancer than meat-eaters do. In addition, each person who goes vegan saves the lives of nearly 200 animals every year—and the United Nations has warned that a global switch to vegan eating is necessary to combat the worst effects of climate change.

Topping PETA's list is the Atlanta Falcons' Mercedes-Benz Stadium, followed by the San Francisco 49ers' Levi's Stadium, the Minnesota Vikings' U.S. Bank Stadium, the Philadelphia Eagles' Lincoln Financial Field, the Seattle Seahawks' CenturyLink Field, the New England Patriots' Gillette Stadium, the Denver Broncos' Empower Field at Mile High, the Los Angeles Rams' Memorial Coliseum, and the Baltimore Ravens' M&T Bank Stadium.

PETA opposes speciesism, which is a human-supremacist worldview. For more information, please visit PETA.org.

    1. ^^^ Wrong.

This is actually VERY good news.

Fatty football fans need a salad instead of chicken nachos and burgers.

Good to know there are choices at the stadium.

    2. Better title:

Kansas City Chiefs have more variety for veggies at Arrowhead than play calling options from Coach Reid.

      Think about it.
