ReplyDeleteYour own words in the lead up to this story tells it all....rock star, swept away barrier, inspired multigenerational support....all of those things remind us that he was ONLY elected because of white guilt and ignorant boomers who are still living in the free will of the 60s and 70s. He had NO qualifications to be president and he brought back a lot of racial hatred from BOTH sides. To me, he is one of the worst presidents this country has ever had - jobs, economy, immigration, budgets; it will take years to fix the errors in his judgement. He has only 1 legacy!!!

10:23: You have an amazing case of amnesia. When Obama took office we were in the worst recession since the Great Depression. I sure won't say I agree with everything he did, but he brought us out of that. I strongly suspect that if he were not black the old white men of the GOP would have a little more respect for him, but then again, many of them still resent FDR. Weird.
ReplyDelete^^^Obama did not bring us out of the recession (it was not a depression). He just happened to be President when we brought ourselves out of it. FDR's policies made the Great Depression worse and caused the economic crisis of 1936-38. Obama's policies resulted in the slowest post-recession recovery ever.
