Kansas City Catholic Mealtime Teaching

OUTSTANDING feature here from the Catholic Key which offers a bit of reflection on the role of food and faith.

Here's a worthwhile Sunday alternative away from constant advertising pushing consumers to mindlessly stuff their face with delicious garbage . . . Take a look and TKC will be right back with more after grabbing a few donuts:

Bringing the Gospels to life through food

By Marty Denzer Catholic Key Associate Editor KANSAS CITY - While reading the Bible, you've probably noticed the numerous references in both the Old and the New Testaments to meals. In the Old Testament, there are numerous references to foods including manna in the desert, oil and flour, honey, unleavened bread, lamb and fish.

  6. The Catholic church is reinventing itself to stay alive and get members. People don't believe the old stuff. Couple years ago the Pope announced Limbo does not exist. Well how does he know that? Did God tell him? No, he admitted that it was a made up fable to collect money for the church. And he knew nobody believed that BS nowdays. The catholic church is a medival religion of superstitions and cant survive a modern world. They don't stick to the truth of the Bible, they added to it greatly which makes it a false religion. And God is furious about it too! There will be punishment!
