Five years ago, I wrote a pretentious novel. Here's what I've learned since then.

The cold winds that swept through Kansas City on November 1 brought the closure of fall. For writers everywhere, however, it also represents a beginning. It's NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month, which challenges people to write a 50,000 word novel in a month.
