Heartland Moms Stay Losing Medicaid

Here's a glimpse at hard times and the underlying healthcare drama that will serve as one of the prime movers of the 2020 election cycle. Checkit:

New moms getting kicked off Medicaid

SHAWNEE, KS (KCTV) -- Most women who qualify for Medicaid while they're pregnant lose their coverage soon after their kids are born. Jenneka Vanderbeek had Chloe two and a half years ago. She got Medicaid to cover doctor's visits while she was pregnant and for two months after delivery.

  1. Not to beat up on someone when they are down but she chose to have a child she couldn't support, lost custody of that child and then chose to have another. Multiply that by millions of young women and then blame it on capitalism.

  2. Watched that segment, and I agree. Some sympathy for her, but she did make some bad choices. Don't really know the answers.

  3. Damn, 38% of the poverty level is the max to qualify for Medicaid two months after birth. That's really not much at all. It's almost laughable. Hopefully this girl gets the help she need through her current situation.

  4. If you are on any state or federal financial aid and getting medicaid you have no right getting pregnant. This lady is a mess and a poster child of what free hangouts result in. Why should I, you or the next person have to pay for these losers who don't want to behave as productive citizens and stand around all day with a hand held out.

This lady needs her tubes cut because you all know we are who is going to pay for this child to be raised to probably follow in its mother's footsteps in life. Society should no longer be held ransom for losers who can't make the right choices. I'm not a firm believer in abortions but in this case one is needed. Put the child out of its misery before it's born.

  5. Women probably shouldn’t get fucked and knocked up if they can’t afford healthcare. Got to accept some responsibility, right?

  6. Mandatory IUD or other birth control should be a condition of getting welfare. Can't take care of yourself, certainly can't take care of yourself + kids.

  10. We need to close the boarders and take care of our own before illegals. Mandatory Drug Testing for sure. No more tax $$$ going for illegal's children IN Mexico!!!! Keep the $$$ home in the states for Americans. Mandatory Birth Control if you get AID and you have to become a Citizen.! Or how about a SPOUSE! Get Married before having a BABY! It depends on YOU! It takes two. Ladies put your foot DOWN! NO SEX till Marriage!
