Gordon Ramsey Burnt Kansas City News

A few background e-mails remind us that not everybody understands the local news game.

Here's how it works . . . A big company spends a lot of cash on ads. Local stations desperate for that money then assign their rookie, b-list or hack entertainment writers to cover it as just a bit of pay for play that's perfectly legal, objective and pure "journalism" . . . No, it couldn't possibly be quid pro quo . . . Just a friendly exchange of discourse in the marketplace of ideas.

And while we wouldn't dare accuse anybody of this sketchy practice . . . Here's a local magazine that's mostly garbage sponsored content and mostly a glorified catalog . . . The only punchline is that popular local tweets have far more readers. Checkit:

Top 9 Things We Learned From Gordon Ramsay Last Night At His New Restaurant's Grand Opening - In Kansas City

It was a veritable who's-who of Kansas City's elite last night at the kickoff of the new Gordon Ramsay Steak at Harrah's North Kansas City. Ramsay himself was in town to celebrate the restaurant's grand opening with a VIP dinner and media event. (And before you ask-yes, he swore liberally.

Wish him luck. These casinos have a cycle of restaurants that come and go . This isn’t Vegas .
The trash that have 20 dollars to gamble don’t have cash to spend 75 dollars on a steak.
It won’t last, will end up like Guys taco joint in p&l . Crappie service and way to expensive for this town.

He'll do very well. He imbues success. The rich and famous will devour his mentionables and un. A Michelin Star recipient, come on. It'll be fun to read about it. I won't eat there, I am just a regular guy. Will watch on tv and make meals at home. Happy birthday. Welcome to KC.

No idea...saw the Tomahawk on the meat stand and envisioned it wrapped in Japanese 24 karat edible gold leaf after having been massaged with olive oil, caressed with flavorful dry rub, cooked in a hot oven and finally panseared in an a hot iron skillet amongst butter, garlic cloves, and fresh rosemary. Spooned over and over again...forming a juicy buttery crisp crust locking in the medium rare juices. But I dream. Maybe if the Chiefs are in the playoffs...take one for the team. Yum. Oh the agony.

My man Quang can fry some chicken. Just watching him cook and tear that meat up to the bone is crazy. Made Snoop Dog and Ramsey recipes...ya can't swim, well you still got to get in that hot frying oil. Serious wings. Smack, smack, smack. Down with the gang. Yeah, that's Zach recipes for Tomahawk steak. Shhh ASMR
