CLIMATE CHANGE WILL KILL HOMES IN KANSAS CITY?!?!

Chicken little coverage from public radio doesn't offer much hope but manages to entertain local listeners with predictions of weather doom before an upcoming storm. Checkit:

Kansas City Homes Will Have More Leaky Roofs And Higher Electric Bills As Climate Changes

More than 2 million people live in the Kansas City metro, on either side of the state line. They live in urban, suburban and rural communities, and in everything from subsidized apartments to century-old farm homes. As scientists better understand the impact of climate change, elected officials, city planners and housing advocates are working to design housing that will endure extreme weather.

  1. “The data indicates its urban landscape (Kansas City) sees more days with higher temperatures than its suburban and rural neighbors, plus more heavy rain and flooding.”

  6. The CIA report on climate change, released in August 1974 during the 'impending ice age' scare, quoted British climatologist Dr. Hubert Lamb saying 22 out of 27 climate models predicted a cooling trend through the end of the 20th century. (page 28) Guess they got that wrong. Meanwhile, in Cowtown we had zero official triple digit temps this past summer. In fact, Kansas City Missouri has experienced only 2 triple-digit days in the last 7 years (Sept. 8, 2013 and July 12, 2018) recorded at KCI airport, the official recording station. Sixty years ago KCMO officially recorded at least 66 triple-digit days in the 7 years from 1953-59. Global warming, cooling, raining, blizzarding ... is old news wrapped in media hysteria.
