Important news update for the overnight, it seems the rising tide of local violence also include members of law enforcement.
Tragedy across the State Line tonight:
"The call came in at 7:51 in the 2800 block of north 76th street in Kansas City, Kansas. The deputy is a man in his late 50's. The Sheriff's Office says he was found dead of a gunshot wound."

KSHB: KCKPD also confirmed it was a captain within the department and a white male in his late 50's.
KMBC: Another person at the scene is considered a person of interest. He was taken in for questioning.
