Actually, this is a confirmation of TAX FIGHTER criticism before the project started. Groups like CITIZEN FOR RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT KC warned that 12th & Oak promises weren't worth the paper they were written on . . . Here's "reporting" of something that brighter locals already understood.

New airport was supposed to create KC jobs. Why has only 3% of work gone to residents?
Two years ago, supporters of a new terminal at Kansas City International Airport said the project would, among other things, provide work for local residents. "Building this airport will create thousands of new jobs in the area," promised Better KCI, the primary campaign group.
Suckers....It was always a bait n switch scheme by vultures waiting to pick apart the carcass of what's left of the kcmo taxpayer carried out by spinless politicians with no concern except lining their campaign coffers and rewarding themselves and their (((sponsors))).
ReplyDelete^^So. We are getting a new airport. It's worth it.
ReplyDeleteOh Chimpy. You obviously don't fly lol
DeleteThis is just the first of many deceptions.
ReplyDelete^^and what are you prepared to do about it? Come here and cry like a bitch??
ReplyDeleteChimpy! Be nice. Get back to what you know. We haven't heard you say 'Matlock' or 'Maude' in at least two days lol
DeleteHas anyone realized the new airport terminal entrance and exit roads are being and will continue to be funded by KCMO taxpayers and not airline ticket fees? There are millions of dollars coming out of the General Fund to cover this cost. Where is the media coverage?!
ReplyDelete1025..what a fool you are - a new airport at any cost.
ReplyDeleteWoops - that should be 1023 not 1025.
ReplyDeleteThats the fucking you get for the fucking you got.
ReplyDelete11:38 No money had come out of the General Revenue fund to the airport
ReplyDeleteYou fools who still live in Kansas City deserve what you get!
ReplyDeleteI LAUGH at your plight!
I love reading this blog and reveling in the pain of others.
We laugh at your faggotry.
Delete^^^Wow...what a pathetic loser you must be!
ReplyDelete1233 - I unfortunately live in kcmo and you are right - biggest mistake not moving out of this shit run town. I laugh too, the kcmo voters are a largely a bunch of mindless fools.
ReplyDeleteThe "jobs" will be picking up crushed butts and emptying garbage cans.
ReplyDeleteGuaranteed that local businesses WILL NOT be opening new locations in the airport. The whole thing is set up for more big national chains. Local employment will consist of little jobs serving coffee, poring beers, and selling candy bars and gum. The finish out costs for a location at the airport will be prohibitive, but the big guys get the big breaks. Heard that the airport authority already contracted for 5 Starbucks outlets, so good luck to you local coffee guys. So much for a local economic impact, unless it is bad.
ReplyDeleteMayor Bow Tie had everyone fooled.
ReplyDeleteMany companies will hire out of KC because of high crime these folks bring.
Let’s face it: St. Louis and KC are the face of crime with terrible murder rates- highest in America and on par with war-torn provinces.
And the dumb ass citizens pay 1% more for what?
Wait times and lines guaranteed to be longer.
ReplyDeleteWhat did modernity get anyone at KCI?
Whoever voted for this are idiots.
Karma is all metro gets longer lines- higher fees- and no on benefits.
Suckers! All urged on by KC star editorial board.
^^^and yet we’ll have a new airport and nobody will really care. Weird
ReplyDelete602 wierdo...for once you are right we will get a new lousy airport and no one will care...which is not something to be proud of, rather it is a sad reflection on the state of brain-dead kcmo citizens and corrupt politicians
ReplyDeleteyou will have a new overpriced crappy airport and the project
ReplyDeletewill become a case study of poor ethics and poor design.
Maybe some architecture print rag will be paid a nice sum to butter this up but then maybe some architectural academics have nothing better to do than parse every aspect of this project, including the little army of schmucks like 6:02.
ReplyDeleteCan’t wait to get $16 burgers
ReplyDelete$14 beer
$5 candy bars
Crapola. Karma. Murder capital of the USA in the making.
Let’s impeach whoever came up with the airport saving time and money.
Kangaroo impeachment for a kangaroo city.
Kansas City ruined its perfectly fine airport to make way for subpar, congestive and unfriendly replacement just to say it has a trendy airport... which will be more of a pain for travelers.
ReplyDeleteAll the "jobs" went to the connected/political family members.
