TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! MAGA HAT TRIGGERS PLAZA CUSTOMER AS KANSAS CITY DEBATES PREZ TRUMP IMPEACHMENT!!!
A note from a KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTER witnessing life on the front lines of the worsening retail game reveals the increasingly divisive discourse concerning Prez Trump and the ongoing impeachment inquiry.
To wit . . . Here's the word . . .
Hey TKC, just wanted to tell you that people in your city have gone ABSOLUTELY BONKERS about (Prez) Trump. I was shopping with my daughter on the Plaza last week and noticed a very frazzled older woman demanding to speak with the store manager about an item in the window that was angering her She was tapping her feet and fuming when a very sheepish, cherubic 30-something woman politely approached her and asked if she could help.
The lady screamed:
"You're G*ddamn right you can help me! I want that MAGA hat out of that window, out of the store! Don't you dare try and defend it, THAT HAT IS A SYMBOL OF HATRED and it WILL be taken down!"
The mood in the store changed quickly. At that point the woman screaming was shaking, seemed to be frothing at the mouth and her eyes were as big as plates. She didn't look to me like a homeless person but it was getting harder to make any kind of distinction.
The manager tried to tell her that the store didn't sell any MAGA hats and she had no idea what the woman was talking about. At that point the salt & pepper hair of the screaming wench just about stood on end as she yelled:
"IT'S RIGHT OUTSIDE! TAKE IT DOWN! IT GOES DOWN! NOW!"
Wanting to be of assistance, and hopefully help this lady avoid a mental break down. I politely interjected that the woman might be referring to the red Kansas City hat in the window.
The even younger sales clerk standing nearby gasped and nearly broke out into a full sprint to remove the hat in question. My daughter and I had seen enough and promptly scooted past the confrontation. I managed to grab a photo of the hat in question before it was removed. The wispy college-aged sales clerk seemed annoyed that I motioned to her to wait a moment before the display was removed but I needed to document how horrible this "Trump derangement syndrome" has become in Kansas City.
I'm not a frequent voter but it's astonishing how hysterical some people have become about the President and from what I've seen the Plaza is now ground zero for this kind of hysterical debate. Oh well, at least it gave my daughter and I something to talk about while trying out the new Smashburger. Thought you might find it interesting and I've included a picture of the hat in question that I thought was cute but now realize might be too dangerous to wear in public if it inspires that kind of reaction.
And so . . .
