We're back tracking just a bit this morning in order to share our favorite community news link this week and a glimpse at a recent City Hall presser that demonstrates both Republicans and progressives working together to make KCMO a safer place . . . Here's the hopeful bit of reporting . . . Take a look:
Governor Parson meets with Mayor Lucas and Police Chief Smith
Governor Mike Parson was in Kansas City today to meet with Mayor Quinton Lucas and Police Chief Rick Smith to discuss public safety issues, more specifically, how to quell the rising homicide rate and dealing with violent crime in general. Topics covered everything from mental health to the department's highly successful social worker program and intervention techniques in domestic situations.
Until "Stop and Search" is part of police officer's daily job, ZE fuckin RO will change.

ReplyDeleteThat's mostly because what passes for "leadership" in "the community" is more interested in renaming streets, shaking down corporations for cash, passing special taxes for "economic development" in specified parts of KCMO, endlessly repeating the victimization narrative blaming everything and everyone other than the people actually perpetrating the violence in the urban core, and otherwise pursuing their self-important and self-serving activities.
It's all everyone else's fault, after all.
So many fingers pointing at others that you'd need safety glasses to participate in the discussion.
And where's "the mayor"?
My former Boss was/is a cocaine addict, in a JOCO company. He is partly responsible for all this violence, others of you that sniff coke are responsible for the rest. My boss lives in a nice house in north JOCO. Nobody, not even the Shawnee police care that he is a user. They want the dealers. He gave a company speech with white coke power under his nose, as he sniffed in the bathroom just prior to giving the speech. Yes Bill, I am taking about you Mr. loser! And your loser wife susan!
