A terrifying glimpse at urban core life and one of MANY REASONS WHY KANSAS CITY RESIDENTS REJECT TINY LOTS and zoning changes to push local houses even closer together. Take a look at this homeowner nightmare. Checkit:
Neighbor's broken sewer pipe destroys Kansas City woman's home, driving her to debt
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Kansas City woman says her neighbor's sewer line is broken, causing an overflow of sewage to spill over onto her property. It's even causing her own foundation to cave in. "It has wore me down," Latrese Burnett said as she stood near the broken pipe.
Yep, just one of many, many examples of what its like to live in Kansas City, Missouri (proper). The City nor legal aid willing to help home owners who are bearing exorbitant costs to live here. Its exactly the reason why property gets abandoned in Kansas City. Less to do with crime, although that is an issue, more to do with livability and the City's misplaced focus on random bullshit. It never ends... toy train expansion full slow speeds ahead. #blightmekc
ReplyDeleteMy clay pipe sewer line recently collapsed due to work other utilities did in my yard. I actually had a good experience with the water department. I do understand this woman's frusrtation but she really needs to get on the phone with her old friend. The water dept. can't tear into other people's yards to do the kind of work she needs done without their approval. Legally, their hands are tied.
ReplyDeleteOkay what are we missing here? Raw sewage is flowing out onto other peoples property but the city is doing nothing? I know KC is bad city wise but is it really that bad?
ReplyDeleteMaybe the next contest will be about HOW MUCH water costs.
ReplyDeleteKCMO will win big-time!
Just keep those priorities upside-down and you'll never guess wrong in KCMO.
Momentum!
Hope her neighbor isn't Indian or Paki. Curry infused turds smell the worst.
