Man murdered walking into work previously told attorney he feared for his safety

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- The attorney who represented an Overland Park man in a custody battle before he was murdered Monday confirmed to FOX4 that he often expressed concern for his safety. The attorney said David Flick, the 59-year-old shot and killed outside his office, had recently settled the three-year custody battle out of court.

  1. I was at odds to say something here but others should know. I knew this man and he was a good person. Now we have custody issue that will revert to where the mother will get the custody she was being denied. I hope Overland Park Police do a bang up job and prove that the mother in question is a part of this heartless killing. Now due to an insensitive person or maybe persons a child has been denied a life shared with their father. Life is so unfair all too often to innocent people.

  7. really, you are going to have to be more specific. Last comments regarding this story were blaming black people, b/c somehow that seemed obvious, when it was not. Was it a black guy who shot himself in the head b/c his crazy lady did not get custody? you got dead ppl all the time on this blog, and somehow my comment went too far.
