Mobile App Alert: Kansas City Youngster Targeted By 'Game Of War' Creeper

Reminder to parents that "social gaming" potentially exposes youngsters to all manner of d-bag . . . Here's one of many examples thankfully thwarted:

Man pleads guilty to enticing KC teen for sex that he met on "Game of War" app

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- An Alabama man has pleaded guilty in federal court to enticing a Kansas City teen for sex, who he met on the "Game of War" app. James Vance, 46, of Madison, Ala. pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court on Wednesday.

Age of consent is 16 in some states and 18 in others. The girl was 16 and they were talking about getting married and stuff. There's a big difference between a 16 year old and and someone younger. I do believe he should go to jail or face some sort of repercussions, but a 10 year mandatory minimum seems a little harsh for something that's legal in other states.
