Could we really travel I-70 at 700 mph? Missouri speaker thinks so

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Missouri has a real shot at landing a test track for the futuristic mode of transportation known as the "hyper loop." Missouri House Speaker Elijah Haahr of Springfield says he has talked with executives of Virgin Hyperloop One over the past few months.

  2. You get to St Louis in 1/2 hour after arriving at the destination 1 hour before your departure (getting thru security) then you have to have some form of transportation once you get to St Louis. By that time you will be 3 hours into your journey and you might as well drive.

This will be no faster than an airline flight and how many chose to fly to St Louis? Do it to Denver or Dallas and then it would at least save time over driving.

  3. After the coming 2021 mergers and flight cutbacks, passengers from KC may need the Hyperpooperlooper to get to St. Louis and use a functioning Airport.

  4. ^^and yet there will be no flight cutbacks whatsoever. Weird.

  6. In a state like Missouri that can't even maintain, repair, and improve the highways already in place, these folks are proposing spending hundreds of millions on this?
Fix the bridges, highways, and roads.
Also good advice for KCMO and Jackson County.
If you want endless hype and entertainment, please go join the circus.

  7. Tenacious D told me we'd be traveling in tubes, it's great to see it coming to fruition!

  8. First I want to know who is willing to go 700 mph in a device built under the watchful eyes of the Missouri state inspectors. You seen their roads of late? How about all those bridges they are closing while others built 200 years ago in other locations are still in use?

Remember it's the cheapest bidders who get to build this project, not necessarily the best.

  9. ^^and yet you don't even live in Missouri so anything you have to say about it is moot. Weird.

  10. I think 1:00 needs an ambulance. That's a sick burn from 1:54. Does this dave guy have anything productive to say, ever? It's a lot easier to complain than to actually do anything. I don't see anything except complaining from you, but then again, this blog seems to be the high water mark of success for you.

  11. Fuck You Losers10/21/19, 2:37 PM

Ahhhhh poor old losers at 1:54 and 2:09 who just can't stand to see anyone else make good points. They never add anything constructive other than to attack the messenger. 2:09 I never see anything from you or 1:54 either other than complaining. So in the end that makes you look stupid/retarded/ignorant when you do exactly the same thing that you're claiming someone else is doing.

BTW 1:54, Interstate 70 is a part of the United States Interstate Highway System which is a federal program which means anyone from any location who lives in the United States can make a comment about it. So how about you just STFU yourself if you can't show any better common sense than that.
