RAYTOWN, Mo. -- A Raytown man has died from his injuries after an overnight shooting. The shooting was reported shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 5600 block of Crescent Ave. According to police, two men were found inside of a home suffering from gunshot wounds.
Justice Served On Blue Ridge
A Kansas City, Missouri, man was sentenced to 14 years in prison Thursday for the armed robbery of a restaurant with an illegal firearm. Teandre L. Wilson, 40, pleaded guilty April 9 to robbing a Pizza Hut in the 9500 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard at gunpoint in August 2018.

A Kansas City, Kansas, police officer flashed his badge and threatened to use his gun when he was being kicked out of a bar last year, according to a state agency charged with licensing law enforcement officers.
Fear Farmer Killing
KANSAS CITY, MO (AP) - An employee of two slain Wisconsin brothers says he believes a Missouri cattleman promised to give the men money to lure them to his farm so he could kill them. Twenty-five-year-old Garland Nelson, of Braymer, was charged Wednesday with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 35-year-old Nick Diemel and 24-year-old Justin Diemel, of Shawano County, Wisconsin.

Marcus Simms, 36, was convicted of first degree murder, armed criminal action and tampering in the death of his girlfriend, Michele Boldridge. Tragic Crash Postscript
Police said they had not yet issued any traffic citations Thursday afternoon after a vehicle plowed into four children Thursday morning in Overland Park. The vehicle sent the children flying 20 to 60 feet when it ran onto a sidewalk near West 87th and Grant streets about 7:30 a.m., Steve Parker, the lead officer on the crash investigation.
