Here's the most useful link of the day for local po'folk as this issue has been pushed away from the limelight despite a continued threat . . . Great followup coverage here despite the fact that INSIDERS warn a "1st class County Charter" might not give much leeway for Jeff City politicos to do much. Read more:

ReplyDeleteIf you people are looking to Jeff City for help you can forget it. The majority in Jeff City is Republican. So in other words you idiots vote for these loser democrats and then run to the Republicans for help. Screw You.
This county is fucked up on many levels of corruption
ReplyDeleteFrankie boy, Petersucker and Gail need to be removed for being the most incompetent losers on earth, nobody was thought to be this stupid, now they just proved it.
ReplyDeleteGail said the other assessors broke the law by lowering the assessments..... no Gail, they just didn’t raise them 400% like your law breaking ass did, the law says you can’t raise them more than 15% at a time, god damn she’s a stupid lyin idiot.
This is what Democommies do. Tax and spend. You all voted them in, and now you gotta PAY!
ReplyDeleteWhere's Frank ? Does he show up to anything ? Business as usual, leave Gail to deal with what he should be answering for.
ReplyDeleteFire this bitch
ReplyDeleteWell I guess you can field candidates and vote them all out of office. If they're that unpopular it should be easy, right?
ReplyDeleteWhich is why they get reelected year after year right?
All you whiners can go ahead and and form the Kneejerk Party.
But, but, we luv you!
ReplyDeleteWe gets you free stuff!
The mean Republicans don't!
We also gets you good stuff like toy trains, new shiny airports, lotsa potholes, new hotels, P&L District fun places, and much more.
If you want to keep getting our freebies, and other good stuff, you must vote democrap!
^^and we will!!! Thanks, that's good advice!
ReplyDeleteIt is POSSIBLE that Beatty actually thinks that a "flyover" qualifies as a visual inspection to justify violating the individual Visual Inspection rule necessary to raise assessments over 15% -- and is not just cynically creating an illegal windfall for the KCMO School District, which alone of all taxing districts chooses to gauge the taxpayers rather than roll back its levy.
ReplyDeleteIt is also POSSIBLE that I -- in my 70's, short, slow, fat and ill-coordinated -- will be starting for the Celtics next season. I don't think I should invest in a uniform until I get the call...
FYI? That 15% limit -- the law followed by those other assessors that she complains about --was put in place because NO assessor EVER thinks they have enough help and would like to just sit in the office and guess. They just can't legally "guess" above a 15% increase.
