Demolition begins on vacant hotels at Metcalf Crossing

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Demolition finally began Wednesday at the site of the long-delayed Metcalf Crossing redevelopment at Shawnee Mission Parkway and Marty Lane in Overland Park. The property, considered to be a crime-ridden eyesore by many in the community, once housed two hotels but has sat vacant since late 2017.
