Diversion possible for Overland Park girl in finger gun case
OVERLAND PARK, KS (AP) -- Attorneys are considering offering diversion to a 13-year-old Overland Park girl who was arrested last week for pointing a finger gun at classmates. Diversion was discussed Tuesday during a juvenile court hearing for the Overland Park eighth-grader, who is charged with felony threatening.
In Kansas, diversion is always the go-to option. What is restitution? For a conservative state, they are light on crime.
ReplyDeleteStupid waste of the courts time.
ReplyDeleteOverland Park and Johnson county win again...
ReplyDeleteShawnee Mission schools have always had a bunch of old biddies running the show. It makes me sad that they have determined the trajectory of this child's life. Great introduction to the criminal justice system for this little girl. But I guess they have to set an example.
ReplyDeleteStill zero consequences for spewing the N word in public and spitting on children. This world is nutz. A finger gun which is not a gun at all...eyeroll.
