Blue Springs brake plant to close, move to Mexico

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Haldex, a Swedish brake and suspension manufacturer for heavy vehicles, announced Tuesday that it would close its production facility in Blue Springs and lay off 154 workers. Plant operations will shift to Mexico, saving Haldex around $25 million Swedish kronor - or approximately $2.5 million U.S.

  5. The illegals are on there way to take American jobs. The cheap labor is on the way.And the Robots are hear. They don't take a break don't ask for a raise. Or take a vacation. These people have Car loans Mortgage, Credit card debt. Home improvement loans. And now there job's are going to Mexico.

  6. The company is saving about $8.00 per hour on each of the 154 staff members. That's equal to the 2.5 million bucks in savings. I wont be buying their brakes.
