Mark Kelpe always thought the toughest aspect of being a restaurateur was launching a restaurant. The closing of McCoy's Public House after a 21-year run changed his mind, he said. "It was like a death," said Kelpe, operating partner for BeerKC Restaurant Group. Fellow operating partner James Westphal likened it to a funeral and a death march.

LOUISBURG, KS (KCTV) -- Rain forced country western singer Luke Bryan to postpone a Farm Tour concert in rural Kansas. The concert has been scheduled for Oct. 30 in near Louisburg. Bryan said that that the rains on Oct. 3 made it too wet for equipment to be unloaded at the MC Farms for the concert.

  1. McCoy's messed up big time by shutting down and I think they know it too. It was the only reason many people came to westport at all. I'm younger and used to go a few times a year...probably the most I'd go to any restaurant. My parents used to go there once a week up until they closed for years. There's no way in hell they're going to mickey's hideout -- just looked at the menu and it's generic and all over the place.

    Detroit style pizza...Little Caesars is based out of detroit so there's everything you need to know. RIP mccoys...you could have lasted another 20 years. I give Mickeys four years tops before it follows in the footsteps of the foundry
