Ugly Kansas City Chief Win Against Ravens

Quick run down for our resident fanboys and just to keep up appearances . . . There wasn't must to get excited about in this early season warm-up game as both teams mostly seemed to be going through the motions and playing basketball at half speed.

Here's the very best TKC Reader football comment on the day in the OPEN THREAD @4:38 . . . The feisty missive starts out this way:

"Another year, another game, another 'THIS IS ARE YEAR!' plea by desperate swiss chiefs fandumb . . . Another year, another game, another 'THIS IS ARE YEAR!' plea by desperate swiss chiefs fandumb. As the NFL in general - a tragedy really, what has happened to the NFL/pro sports in general.

"Once you get past the ob$cene all the way around, must suffer part & parcel changes to the game variously, various leagues:

* A manipulated 'no team left behind' po$t $ea$on field (why the game is as it is, today) become legion rather than consisting of but creme de la creme

* Rule changes that have rendered stats - all them - bogus and meaningless"

* More dollars, teams, more games, more post season qualifiers, more stats - all of it totally meaningless terms quality... the buck never stops there"

  10. Patriots and Packers #1 and #2 in the NFL through three weeks, Bills, Cowboys, undefeated/once tied Lions and 49ers (who beat KC this preseason) coming in at #3-#6 and honorable mention Saints, Texans, Ravens, Chargers, Browns, Rams and swiss chiefs nod the NFL's 2019 version 'best of the worst.'

32 teams, 0 great, half a dozen presentable, another half dozen more mediocre than good and the remaining 20 unfit to be contenders - isn't a complete team among them, New England closest thing to it. No surprise - like the rest they would get dominated by any top teams in pro football from the 1960s and 70's.

  14. The Chiefs are definitely one of the best 2-3 teams in the league but the National Anthem Curse is still in full effect. They aren't going to the Superbowl for the 50th straight year.

  15. ugly win? against a 2-0 Ravens team? without your starting left tackle and a dynamic WR playmaker? I guess I'll take it.

  16. Last time I checked, a win was a win.
