This was supposed to be the year Medicaid expansion finally happened in Kansas. Democratic Gov. Laura Kelly, elected in November, had run on the issue. She triumphed in a state that had gone for Trump in 2016 by more than 20 percentage points and replaced a Republican governor who had vetoed a previous expansion bill.

Let's make this clear: Medicare is NOT insurance! It's welfare and it's unconstitutional. Nowhere in the Constitution does it provide Congress the power to pay for anyone's health care.

ReplyDeleteLack of Medicaid or expanded Medicare coverage is not the same thing as lack of medical care. Hospital emergency rooms have to treat you regardless of your ability to pay, and regardless whether you have an actual medical emergency or just the sniffles.
And having Medicaid coverage is not the same thing as having medical care - a doctor still has to accept you as a patient, and considering the miserably low reimbursement rates for Medicaid in particular, why would she.
Medicaid expansion is just a means for socialists to buy more votes from the parasites that prey on your hard earned money.
