We offered insider deets and a TKC FIRST LOOK this afternoon and now it's news fact . . . The most stunning revalations in this report demonstrate that THE ASSESSMENT HONCHO DIDN'T KNOW WHAT SHE WAS DOING . . . JUST AS WE REPORTED EARLIER TODAY.

COURTHOUSE MUST SEE: Emails obtained by KCTV5 provide reality check in Jackson County property tax assessment

Overview . . .

KCTV5 reviewed emails describing an office that is overwhelmed and at times confused.

Emails clearly outline some troubling conversations where the consultant and director are trying to figure out how values were reached in the first place.

Seriously, if readers look at one bit of local news tonight, it should be this report

Developing . . .

Excellent reporting, great journalism. The documents speak for themselves. Now we need some accountability for these mistakes.

^^^^ +1

That would be nice. It's obvious the County didn't follow the rules but isn't that always the case? It has been a den of corruption for the past decade.

Think about it.

There's only one answer here:

What a cluster fuck.

Hey, I KNOW!!! Why don't we vote in tons more Socialist Democrats and they will fix everything!!!

You're welcome.

^^^^ Agree. If you want change, stop voting for the same old people and DEFINITELY don't vote for somebody just because they played baseball.

It also seems that hiring Managers on the basis of their ethnicity may not be the best way to assure competence.

Next up in governmental and criminal malfeasance:

Trump’s tax forms.

^^^ Sure, out of control, activist Prosecutors and Judges, investigate until they find a crime, any crime in a Beria, "Investigate The Man" effort that no longer requires only contempt to initiate a Locus Standi vis a vis an actual crime.

STFU you commie puke.

We need Nicole Halloway to come in and sort this clusterfuck out. I'd start with Frank.

Why would anyone think that "the assessment honcho" would know what she was doing?
She wasn't hired based on competence, ability, or experience.
There were other, much more important, "criteria".
And she's the typical political Jackson County/KCMO political hack that drifts from one job to the next, always leaving behind a mess that someone else ends uyp having to try to clean up.
As predictable as the sun rising in the east.
It never changes.

I give two shits about trumps tax return. I'm more concerned with stuff I actually deal with, like my tax assessment for my house in Waldo. I hope KCTV5 keeps up on this.

What's weird is how in the pocket these other media companies seem to be with the local government. This is a pretty big story and when one news company breaks a big story the rest follow because they don't want to be left behind. You see this with everything, but strangely no one else seems to picking up on it yet. Also, KCTV5 is the only new org located in Kansas. Wonder if that's related. Definitely fishy
