TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! CLAY CHASTAIN CHALLENGES 'GURU' DAVE HELLING!!!

We have a really great debate going on this editorial and so this town's top ranking petitoner joins the fray this afternoon. Checkit:

Clay Chastain challenges Dave Helling's editorial chastising Missouri Senator Josh Hawley as being "dangerous" & "ugly."

When you observe Star editorial board member (Dave Helling) on KCPT's Week in Review, he appears as if to be an enlightened guru (beard and all) who just came down from the mountain top to tell us all how we should think and how the world should turn. Not surprisingly, he writes with a puffed up over confidence as well.

Now Dave is no dummy, but a guru? Dave read TV news from a teleprompter for years and (to his credit) elevated himself to editorial board status at the Star. It is a curious thing though that members of the Star's think tank advise us all when none appear to have... built or designed anything, worked on a farm or in a factory (where things were being produced), rehabilitated or restored anything, taught school, run for political office, achieved a technical degree, circulated a petition for a cause, or offered any services to the country other than their liberally-slanted opinions.

Nevertheless, Helling penned an editorial (Star 9/17) titled, "Sen. Hawley's attack on Facebook is just one part of his radical agenda." Supposedly, Dave's idea of a radical agenda is Hawley's "politically incorrect" desire for America to return to a place of "common identity" where most Americans once again embrace values of "God and Country," "family and tradition" and reject unrestricted abortion. Now days, wanting to go back to normal is radical.

The first thing notable about today's journalists, like Dave, is that too many not only write with an all knowing and conspicuous bias, but also freely use hyperbole and exaggeration to capture a dwindling audience. Dave's editorial was peppered with emotionally charged, and absolute, words like......"Jihad," "radical," they're all against," "never," "every," "dangerous," "ugly..." in making his points. But far right conservatives are no stranger to this hyped up and divisive political commentary either. It now fuels the mean hysterical discourse in America.

When Hawley "whined" about Facebook censoring an anti-abortion video Dave mocked Hawley saying, "only governments can censor speech." Well Dave, what about Alex Jones' radio broadcasts being denied access on Facebook? Or, liberal California universities not allowing conservative speakers to address their students? Or, the Kansas City Star's suppression of news regarding Clay Chastain and his petitions (the City is trashing) that challenge the establishment's leadership, etc.? Is that just "private editing," Dave?

Senator Hawley understandably believes multiculturalism is changing our way of life when he said, " The left champions multiculturalism and degrades our common identity." But Dave said the Senator was "scarily embracing ethnic and cultural purity while ignoring the truth: "Multiculturalism is our identity," Dave, you are the one ignoring the truth: Until recently, America's culture (excluding blacks, who were forced to come here as slaves) has been a singular derivative of western european cultures primarily founded around Christian beliefs and values. It's not the culture we have today where America is quickly turning into a melting pot of vastly different races, cultures and religions.

Just because birds of a feather want to flock together does not mean that one bird thinks it superior to another. In general, life flows easier, is less disruptive and is merely more comfortable when lived out amid one's own common culture. The Chinese, Japanese, Muslims, Frenchmen, Englishmen, Irishmen, Indians likely all feel the same way. But in America, most everyone is now afraid to say they yearn for the culture the nation grew up in because many fear politically correct people (like Helling) will accuse them of being... "ugly," "radical," "a cultural supremist," a "conservative nationalist," one seeking "cultural purity," or one on a "Jihad."

Dave Helling, not Senator Josh Hawley, may be the one who is "dangerous" because it is this guru's cocksure writing, thinking and commentary that is getting "ugly."

  2. Hawley is one of the biggest frauds Missouri has ever seen. You can tell Blunt likes being senator for Missouri because he actually shows up! Hawley prefers the friendly elitist confines of the DC swamp.

  3. Chastain if the fraud. He does not live here and has no intention of doing so.

    He is playing you.

  4. Oh, my. I didn't realize Clay was so retro. There's more dog whistles in his screed than you'd find at Petsmart or maybe even a Trump campaign rally.

  5. ^^^ Give it up. The dog whilstle trope is getting old. Clay has more black voters who support him than anybody else. You sound stupid when you keep mentioning that. Clay is one of the least racist people to vote in KC.

Just like that Russia bullshit. Just because you repeat it doesn't make it true. In fact, the more you say it. Just seems like the same old leftist lies.

  6. To, 2:51: Most everytime I post a lress release on Tonys, you surface, like a toxic sludge, to say I am a "fraud," and "playing" the people. A fraudulent person deceives people. I have always admitted to only residing in KC (my home town) part-time. Almost my entire family still lives in KC, including my only 2 grandchildren. In tring to help improve KC, how am I "playing the people," supposedly for fools? The reason I don't live in KC full-time is because I have full custody of my youngest 13-year old daughter and am under a court order not leave the State of Virginia until she turns 18. If you want to dis me it is a free country. But, use a legitimate reason in the future.

  7. Clay, its YOUR choice to stay in Virginia...if you only live here part time, you can't devote what is needed to the city. Your custody problems are not our fault.

So quit hiding behind your daughter.

The City deserves more than a "part time" leader.

  8. With the number of murders in this town, Clay, we need more cops before we need more transit systems.

    You ARE playing the people.

  10. @2:51 Your post has to be the dumbest thing ever. How is Clay playing us? His article makes sense and is a fact. He doesn't live here??? So What! How does that have anything to do with his Challenge of Dave Helling? So what you are saying is, Clay, because he lives in another state can't voice his opinion?

    You truly are a moron!

  11. When Helling speaks or comes on the tv spouting his sanctimonious bull.... my mind goes to something else. Dave ain’t all that folks!

And yes, he does make a lot of "errors" and "mistakes" when he speaks and tweets, but I think that there are only 10,000 times he's been proved to be wrong, not 25,000.

"It is a curious thing though that members of the Star's think tank advise us all when none appear to have... built or designed anything, worked on a farm or in a factory (where things were being produced), rehabilitated or restored anything, taught school,..."

Former editorial board member Mary Sanchez was in fact a school teacher for a number of years. She's usually on the wrong side of the issues, but she will entertain thoughtful debate, so I always respect her for that. Can't say the same for most of the others.
