As we prepare to start the Halloween season of pumpkin spice, here's a report reminding us that the uptick in violence on local streets is truly terrifying and very real . . . Take a look:
FOX4: 2 killed, 1 in critical condition after 5 shootings riddle Kansas City and KCK on Friday the 13th

While many joked about superstition and bad luck on Friday the 13th, metro first responders scrambled to address a series of shootings that started in the middle of the day and lasted into the night.
Five shootings, four in Kansas City and one in KCK, left two dead and several injured on Friday, Sept. 13 . . . Police have not arrested any suspects related to these shootings.
That last line is the scariest of all as violence continues to spiral out of control as we approach the holiday season wherein locals feel even more pressure and often fall short of cash.

The weekend is not over. Going to be hot and lots of Chiefs fans will be out and about. Might see that homicide count get even worse sadly.
