Kansas City Star Already Playing Defense For Rep. Sharice Davids?!?!

Fair play, we're sure this is groundbreaking campaign finance news that nobody understands or cares about . . . More to the point, this media outlet starts out their endorsement process early and attempts to take down the political hopes of an upper-middle-class white lady who seems about as captivating as a fresh new bottle of Febreze.

Journey beyond the paywall for politics disguised as newspaper journalism:

Emails suggest Kansas GOP candidate skirted campaign finance rules, watchdogs say

Former Kansas Republican chair Amanda Adkins is running for Kansas' 3rd congressional district. Kansas Republican congressional candidate Amanda Adkins may have skirted federal election law by representing herself as a candidate before filing the appropriate paperwork, campaign finance watchdogs say. Federal election rules include a "testing the waters" provision allowing prospective candidates to conduct a limited amount of preliminary activity.

Must be a slow news day. No wonder McClatchy has reported losing more than $42 million in May. Perhaps a better use of space for Bryan and the Star would be a story about why McClatchy’s earnings report reveals the company is seeking an IRS waiver to lower required contributions of approximately $120 million to its employee pension plan in 2020.

Nothing's going to save Davids in November 2020.
And certainly not the clueless clowns at the Star who have come to believe that the Kansas 3rd has become Slope Park, Brooklyn.
Davids is an airhead do-nothing and has desperately raced from taking one position after another depending on which group she was in front of.
Having endless meetings and agreeing with everybody isn't exactly high performance for a member of Congress, even though it might mean career longevity.
She's an embarrassment.
Good-bye.

^^and yet she will win in a landslide. Weird.

The Star again is twisting someone's words and actions. One can clearly see The Star is so up Davids ass it's a wonder they can breathe correctly. Amanda Adkins stated her intentions to run which isn't illegal to do but the Star is already trying to muddy the waters of the next election with lies and non truths. Another company appears to have stepped out of bounds with their actions that were not authorized by Adkins. Interesting how the Davids group and The Star are already looking on how to try and kill any opponents to Davids by bullshit like this and not the facts and issues.
The Federal Election Commission needs to investigate all the fake news by Davids as being a professional fighter which she wasn't she got her ass beat before becoming anything and quit. She will get her ass beat next fall again and run off crying once again looking for her next "Dig Me I'm A Gay Indian" act.

Retro Rocker, your reference to BST did not go unnoticed.

This is lazy and stupid, even for Tony's intern writers.

The GOP candidate violates campaign laws but we'll find a way to attack Davids. Try again.

Borderline?

I guess conservatives won't admit to campaign finance fraud unless there is a canceled check written to a porn star right before an election, and it's proven in NY court, and a lawyer pleads guilty and goes to jail, and individual one (who is president) is named as an unindicted co-conspirator. In a case that obvious, we could all agree about crimes committed. Right?

It's always "borderline" for the party of professional cheaters.

8:23 - That was The Ides of March, not BST.

Blood Sweat and Tears was certainly not a one hit wonder and would have contradicted what I think was the point of the lyric quote.

It's quite clear almost none of you read the entire article. There were no campaign finance laws broken because there was no contract signed with this firm.

-Jones said she had been approached by someone on Adkins’ team, but emphasized that no contract had been signed when the emails went out and that the firm did not receive payment.

“I absolutely overstepped my bounds unintentionally,” she said.-

I know it's very difficult to see beyond what you want to see sometimes but this is a nothing article filled with "possibles", "ifs" and "mays"; Written by a paper that does nothing but write fluff pieces about the incumbent such as What's on my desk? etc and hack jobs against those that do not share their political views.
