Kansas City's approach to gun violence ordinances gains momentum in Independence

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- The Independence City Council will introduce an ordinance Monday prohibiting minors from carrying handguns and other deadly weapons. The proposal is modeled after similar legislation enacted by the Kansas City Council last month.

  3. It's already illegal for persons under 21 to carry a handgun under Federal law. Pat yourself on the back if it makes you feel accomplished I guess. I'm sure Chicago and Baltimore have the same law. Go visit and see how that's working out.
