KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -- The police in Kansas City, Kansas are investigating a homicide that happened on Sunday. The police department tweeted about the crime just before 2:30 p.m. The homicide happened in 5900 block of State Avenue. One man in his 20s or 30s was killed outside a trailer home.

Apartment complex prowler shot by Independence officer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A confrontation with three prowlers at an Independence apartment complex ended with an Independence police officer shooting one of the suspects. The incident happened about 8:45 a.m. Sunday at the Pepperwood Apartments on East 37th Terrace. Officers confronted the three prowlers, two men and a woman.

Olathe police looking for aggravated robbery suspects

OLATHE, KS (KCTV) - Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that took place Sunday afternoon. At approximately 2:11, officers from the Olathe Police Department responded to the 16700 block of W. 135th Street to investigate an aggravated robbery. The victim told police that while sitting in his vehicle in the parking lot of a Wells Fargo, he was approached by three suspects.

LATHROP, Mo. (AP) - A Kansas toddler is dead after being struck by a minivan on the driveway of a rural Missouri home. 1-year-old Elijah Galloway of Overland Park, Kansas, was fatally struck Saturday evening on a private driveway east of the western Missouri town of Lathrop in rural Caldwell County.
