Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes turned 24-years-old this past Tuesday, and there are plenty of reasons for Chiefs fans to celebrate the superstar quarterback. 7. At 16 games a season they might as well be playing patty-cake when you think about the consequence of this current game. Players get injured, players get suspended, players get traded. This season isn't at all what the playoffs will look like. So let's please think about any so-called consequence of this game.

Nope, the Chiefs' Hunt will buy a Super Bowl win this year, much like the Royals' Glass bought a World Series win back in 2015.

What? You thought professional sports was played on the up and up?

    lol

  14. Another year, another game, another 'THIS IS ARE YEAR!' plea by desperate swiss chiefs fandumb. As the NFL in general - a tragedy really, what has happened to the NFL/pro sports in general.

Once you get past the ob$cene all the way around, must suffer part & parcel changes to the game variously, various leagues:

    * a manipulated 'no team left behind' po$t $ea$on field (why the game is as it is, today) become legion rather than consisting of but creme de la creme

    * rule changes that have rendered stats - all them - bogus and meaningless

    * more dollars, teams, more games, more post season qualifiers, more stats - all of it totally meaningless terms quality... the buck never stops there

Wet behind the ears types more recently born have no ability nor reference to compare the game when it was legit in all the aspects referenced before. I became a KC fan in 1963 when they moved here.

Through all the ups (just one) and downs (decades full also-ran mediocrity, every season other than '69), now numbering half century worth of wait till next year.; said remains the slender thread prevails - fools red & gold now serving 'part 2019, verse 50'.

Today's game? Two teams of equal mediocrity - KC and BALT. No difference in either team, either QB, etc. Play in KC - they win. Play in BALT - they win. Play a neutral field, flip a coin/ends in a tie. Is not today nor has there been a great or really even very good teams the NFL for literally, decades.

As a lifelong fan of sports, the way it has all devolved over the years is sad. The best young QB's in the game - Deshaun Watson, followed by opinion as many Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Jared Goff and Patrick Mahomes - take a back seat to the best still old pros: Rodgers, Brady (a Roethlisberger and Brees too, when healthy. Even these latter's, do not compare with the QB's who played through the 1950,s 1960's and up into the mid 1970's. Every one who came aft, pales comparison.

So get all excited, continue to imagine the game today is the best ever and the players are the best ever, and the Chiefs are the best ever too... then, let's meet back here end of this 60th season when, regardless which team it is survives (even though not on par the champions of yesteryear) we can all agree on one thing:'Wait till next year' swiss chiefs, part 2020, verse 51!

  15. ^^^TL/DR. Writing by a moron. Shut up already!! Nobody has any kind of time for that mess of shit! How come you don’t have anything better to do Taft geezer? Go away! Less is more, if you can’t be concise, be gone. Loser!

  20. Continuing just for you, 4:56... Green Bay Packers 5 Championships in 7 years, 3 straight - unmatched by any NFL team, ever.

As for those modern day wannabes faux fraud 'if you're not a cheatin' you're not a tryin' Patriots, 6 in [drumroll] 60 years... they're barely an .500 at that having lost 4 x Championship games/5-4. So very, thoroughly, mediocre.

Course, if the Patriots are mediocre comparison the Packers - are - then how truly inept are the swiss chiefs their 1, comparison Patriots? Suspect that, the close of bu$ine$$ NFL season 2019, will still be but 1.

OWNED! Ok, your turn... heh heh heh

    ReplyDelete
  21. ^^^Ugh huh. Hey look geezer! Matlock’s on!

    ReplyDelete
  22. ^^^ 4:56 (and all his pseudos) have grown quiet - silenced - no answer to/for the football truths presented nod yours truly.

Next, let's examine how futile and pathetic the swiss chiefs be, and have been, forever. Even 1969, an asterisk-stained season theirs: backed into post season as the second place finisher, a one-year only special playoff format AFL. Translation: still no legit Championship has ever been won by KC football.

In a future post mine, will take a closer look at how pro football and the swiss chiefs went south since the 1960's, into the 70's and continuing through 2019 vis a vis today's entirely bastardized game, variously.

OK, your turn 4:56 (and all your pseudos, followed/will follow)... heh heh heh

    ReplyDelete
  23. @5:16 Weren’t you told to go away? Why do you continue to get your head kicked in? You don’t have anything to say anybody wants to hear. Go get a diaper change please! You stink!

  24. Face it, the Chiefs own this town! The rest of you are just renting!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Continuing 4:56/pseudos, et al...

But a few game/rule changes of note, have diminished the game and relegated the players and stats followed entirely bogus and meaningless, comparison yesteryear's 'greatest evers': import:

    * slingshot 'Y' goal post replaces the 'H' in 1967, leading to increased scoring (and fewer injuries players offensive and defensive due contacting said)

    * 1969 AFL and NFL (as MLB) go to expanded post season field where the mediocre ('69 Chiefs, example) can back their way into post season, even beyond. At OAK, last AFL Championship, a Lamonica injury and an out of bounds Otis Taylor catch called in assisted KC to not lose to OAK again (as they had 7x in their previous 8 meetings)

    * 1970's mid to late decade: hash marks are moved - advantage offense. Pass blocking rules are relaxed - advantage offense. No bump rule is enacte - advantage offense, again (were a Dawson and Taylor playing today, the former would throw for 75 tds a season and the latter would catch 25 of them, how easy it is today comparison yesteryear)

    * Through the ensuing years/decades to present, changes to protect QB'S and enhance offense variously at the expense defense have proliferated. Whether a Brady, 'Choke' Mahomes et al playing yesteryear, they wouldn't last a game before being injured. Both QB's have a habit of looking for a ref to throw a penalty flag anytime a defender breathes on them... in the parlance, what is known as being a big WUSS.

We will talk more about the NFL's great overhypes century 21, specifically 'Choke' Mahomes (the boy who was outplayed by Paxton Lynch in the former's first start ever NFL 2017; that rookie 'Choke' also could not beat out Alex Smith, a career journeyman, will be discussed as well in a bit, once you've had a chance respond with your brief pleas for relief/cries of 'uncle'... heh heh heh

  29. ^^^You seem lonely and sad.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ^^^ 4:56 p.m/pseudos - you cling to ad hominem like an drowning man clings to shipwreck - as swiss chiefs fandumb same clings to a 50 year old faded memory. The hollow content your narrative mimics the same echoes found emanating swiss chiefs trophy case. OK, your turn 4:56/pseudos (do keep trying... heh heh heh)
