The GOLD STANDARD of Kansas City discourse focuses most on recent events at the downtown courthouse with a brief glimpse at the bitter 2020 debate the lies ahead.

Check the description:

"Mike Shanin talks to Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt about criminal justice reform. Michele Watley, Dave Trabert, Annie Presley and Lisa Johnston discuss the recent COMBAT tax audit in Jackson County that has raised some concerns, Congressman Emanuel Cleaver's endorsement of Joe Biden and his stance on impeachment and the impact and accuracy of political polling information."

  1. Not a lot of answers but hoping this means Frank will be out my Christmas just like his predecessor.

    1. Michele Watley 100% on point with her toast. KC voices were silenced this week in council but that only encourages us to keep pressing forward!

  2. Emanuel Clever is a greedy and extremely stupid man. He endorses someone who is showing signs of dementia or Alzheimer, can't keep his hands off of women and children, and embraces money laundering.

  5. Panel

4 intelligent people having a calm thoughtful discussion.

Not exactly a "Ruckus" but much better than someone like Jon Stephens or Jim Heeter spouting obvious propaganda.

  6. 7:44: Are you sure Cleaver is endorsing Trump? Isn't Cleaver a Democrat.

  7. Agree with 9:58, great panel and interesting discussion.

But WTF is up with the camera work on some of these shows? On a Week in Review a while ago, most of the show was blurry. On this show, there’s a giant gap in the middle of the show when they didn’t have the camera on who was talking.

I know it’s public TV but I hope they aren’t so broke they have to use student or intern level camera people. Doesn’t seem much to ask to have the camera on the person talking and keep the show in focus.
