Jackson County Lake Bacteria Controversy: Warnings Removed Too Soon?!?!

The courthouse suffers another public embarrassment as locals fear dangerous exposure to dirty water. Here's the story:

Lake goers concerned after high bacteria levels last week

JACKSON COUNTY, MO (KCTV) -- Just last week at Longview Lake, a sign had been flipped up warning people not to swim due to high bacteria levels. But just as fast as the warning came, by Friday, the sign was flipped back down, and the warning was gone deeming it safe for swimmers again.

  2. Just keep the water out of your eyes, ears, nose, throat, or other body orifices and you'll be fine. Also, don't let your dog get in the water because it may make him sick -- or dead. Have a great time.

  3. Can anyone do the sign flipping? Or is it secure?

  4. And any cuts or open wounds. Why would anyone (Frank) be stupid enough or arrogant enough to put peoples life’s at risk?

  5. I've dropped a deuce while fishing. Takes coordination with your fishing partner. Its a lot easier if you're peeing unless you have the whirlibirds when you stand up.

  6. It's Jackson County, why would you expect anything more?

  7. Be sure to flip the sign on your way out.
