HYPOCRITE BIKE/WALK ACTIVISTS BLAME MEDIA FOR REBUKE AFTER VILIFYING KANSAS CITY TOXIC DRIVING CULTURE!!!

A bigger profile for Kansas City Bike/Walk activists is backfiring on their organization.

To wit . . .

THE STALLED BIKE KC MASTER PLAN STILL NEEDS $400-MILLION AND LEADERS ARE POUTING BECAUSE OF MORE POINTED QUESTIONS FROM MSM, VOTERS AND COUNCIL COLLEAGUES!!!

And so, of course, they blame the media rather than taking responsibility for the divisive words of their leadership . . . Here's their argument:

Media depictions of “bikes versus cars” are missing the point: Kansas City’s streets are deadly

Money line . . .

"We take issue with the narrative that bike lanes are for affluent people to move through a community, rather than something for the people who live in the community. People of color, the homeless, youth, and elderly are all disproportionately impacted by traffic violence. That is why it was disappointing to see a continued focus on a few outspoken people of privilege, not on the individuals struggling every day to move around the city to get to jobs, get their kids to school, or get to basic services like health care."

Fact check . . .

THE ACTIVIST WHO WROTE THIS GARBAGE IS ONE OF THOSE "AFFLUENT PEOPLE" AND THERE'S VERY LITTLE SUPPORT FOR OBTRUSIVE BIKE LANES OUTSIDE OF THIS TWITTER CLIQUE!!!

Seriously, Eric Rogers wrote this polemic and he's the epitome of a well-to-do local with very little knowledge of urban core politics or inner-city needs.

Even worse, Bike Walk KC honcho and Council Dude Eric Bunch drew a line in the sand when he castigated every motorist in Kansas City and attacked this town's alleged toxic driving culture.

This sketchy public/private group can't have it both ways. They've got doughy white dudes playing inner-city activists and attempt to disavow their bold statements against autos when facing a legislative roadblock.

MSM is not to blame for simply taking this group at their word and reporting their discordant chatter which is, finally, earning public skepticism.

  1. Bikers, be very careful. You have created a lot of animosity against you and your demands. Tread lightly, pussies.

  2. Streets oh so deadly! My God they are deadly people! Did you hear that? They are completely deadly!!! You scared yet? Of course you are!

  3. 7:40 You are a moron. Stop ruining our city and try to say something intelligent you don't even know anything about the city other than affirmative action within your little slumhood.

  4. Everyone I know or talk to is tired of Eric Rogers bullshit hustle.

  5. The problem with bike activists and other next gen domestic terrorists is that they want to eliminate cars completely. They may get better support if they would work with drivers to understand the need for alternative sources of public transportation without trying to jam their agenda down the throats of others.

  6. If Bike/Walk KC thinks the STREETS are deadly, they ought to climb off their "children's toys" and actually try walking on the "walking Trails" we have spent so much tax money on!

But be prepared to dive into the waist-high untrimmed weeds that border these trails as soon as a pair of "Bike Nazis" racing each other side by side at twenty or twenty-five miles an hour fly around a blind curve behind you!

Naturally, the injuries pedestrians suffer on our "walking trails" from the carelessness of their "betters on wheels" are never reported in the local Media, that would not fit into "the narrative".

  7. Let's see 200 pound white buy on bike(a), maybe 225 total, the lightest weight car on the road weighs in at 1973 pounds(b), the heaviest 6052 pounds (c), when a hits b or c who wins? Yeah the guy in car gets a ticket and the bike rider gets a body bag.

Who pays for these bike lanes not bike riders, those who buy fuel pay the freight for those lanes and like hybrid and electric car owners the tax bill will come.

Councilman Eric "Spandex" Bunch probably has Eric Rogers spandex in a bunch over this negative rebuke and legislative roadblock.

  9. 8:00, they are too arrogant to work with drivers...they ignore the rules, they tell at people, they flip them off. F em.

  10. What these people can't seem to understand is people have to drive to work. Nothing the city can do will change that fact. Clogging up our streets with bike lanes will only inconvenience the 99% who drive to work.

    ReplyDelete
  11. ^^Ugh huh. Sure they do pops, sure they do. remember you haven't driven in decades. We had to take your license away. You hit too many people driving on the sidewalk all the time. Remember that? Now come on and let's watch some Matlock. That always makes you happy!

  15. Move to India or Indonesia or something if you want to ride your bike everywhere. There's a reason bikes are only popular in third world shit holes

It's sad these bikers are so insecure that they seek to control the method of transportation people use and the want to takes people's money to get their way. Insecure pieces of shit

    1. Hey, 11:19 and his BathHouse buttboiz bikers, listen up! We know you spandex shitheads HATE those pesky HUGE vehicles driven by the HIGH TAXES PAYING commuters. Bikers don't get it that Wally the Welder, Paul the Plumber, Rick the Roofer, Hank the HVAC tech, Carol the caterer, Fran the Florist--all in their big trucks and cargo vans ARE PAYING PLENTY FOR THE ROADS that bikers want to crowd them out of, to stall them on, AND TO MAKE MORE HAZARDOUS FOR EVERYONE!!!

Plus, professionally dressed Tom & Tina Taxpayers can't ride bikes to work every day after dropping the kiddies off at daycare or school. So, a couple of kiddies, carseats, diaper bags, backpacks, lunchpacks, laptops, and briefcases...THAT'S ALOT FOR PARENTS TO HAUL ON BIKES COMPARED TO BIKERS CARRYING JUST AN HERBAL TEA BOTTLE AND A TUBE OF BUTT LUBE!!!

Sure, long stretches of bike lanes are appropriate along enforced reduced speed college campuses, urban side roads, and along suburban streets leading to local elementary, middle schools, and high schools.

Bicyclists should do their GoFundMe and such to help pay for the road use. How about the Eric Bunches and bikers buds tell Gore, DiCaprio, Obama, Oprah and the other EARTH CLIMATE CHANGE SAVIORS to put their BIG money where their BIG mouths are AND SPEND THEIR MILLIONS AND BILLIONS ON BIKE LANES IN THE U.S., uh, er, INSTEAD OF private jetting around to climate change charades, I mean, conferences, and leisurely yachting at, I meant, conferencing, in Italy to SAVE THE PLANET!!!

    1. ^^ Oh, you're not a liar, because you're an illiterate with ADHD and assbugger syndrome. Someone had to read it to you. It was your inbred Uncle Chester that takes quite a while to sound out the words to you. Of course, he had you sit on his lap and slowly shake his "magic stick", because that's what he always says it takes to make his reading side of his brain "come on".

    2. ^^ Also, 1:21, your Uncle Chester is so nice to you. He has you shake his "magic stick" for him to read to you, and has you "puff air" into it for his being nice and taking time to type comments for you.

  20. I drive through north KANSAS city and downtown every day. I almost never see dikes in any of these lanes. No way this boondoggle is worth 400 million. Move to Portland you hippie fucks.

  23. Tax all bicycles $500.00 each per year. All bicycles must have city license plate, $200.00 per year. All bicycles must be safety inspection $100. Per year. A drivers license $500.00 for 4 years.

  24. It's time for AAA to join the lobbying game and stand up for drivers. I'm done with the bike Nazis.

  25. Bikes are not the problem. Leadership at Bike/Walk KC, starting with Eric Bunch and several of the Planers at City Hall, have created a mess with a their arrogance, biased, and condescending attitude in the public process.
It has resulted in a plan that is ill-conceived, with very little public support. They ARE a little privalaged group who hate cars, think they are smarter than everyone else and don't know how to build a coalition....all on your tax dollars. Hence they will just continue to blame others for their lack of leadership and insight.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Minority folks must get SOOOOO tired of getting pimped by privalaged white folks for their agenda. Bike/Walk KC is exploitive.

  27. A few years ago Olathe was widening the street behind our property and proposed adding a bike lane. They scheduled a meeting to discuss, the problem is the people who attended to support the bike lanes don’t even live in the city. They were from OP & Leawood but had no problem in telling Olathe what they need to do. That’s BS, we lost 10 foot of our yard all the way from one end to the other. I rarely see any riders, EVER. I’m stilled pissed at these big mouth bicycle activists. I live a mile from the border between Olathe and OP and there is still no connecting bike lane. I’m fed up with the whiney bike riders, please address the roads where you live before attending someone else’s planning meetings.

  29. Eric Bunch won the election and now needs to step up to the plate and represent all of the constituents in the district, bike riders or not. The bike riding fan base worked well at the last gig but the last gig is up.
