Another strategy that asks communities to protect themselves and the future, here's the pitch and news of a bit of community followup carried by a paper across the state . . . Checkit:
Local Cause Artist has a message for KC - in the wake of the recent shooting near Power & Light and the Crossroads that left three well respected people dead - urging adults to become mentors for the youth.
KANSAS CITY, MO, September 2, 2019 - Chesley 'Blayza' Lunt Jr., came from a troubled past. ReplyDeleteAn interesting study would be the parenting or lack of involving the murder suspects. That of course if they ever catch one.
ReplyDeleteHow about jails and prisons and getting a real prosecutor instead of Jean Petersucker Baker. These might prevent future crimes. It is hard to commit crimes while in prison for a prior crime.

ReplyDeleteIt's not our job to mentor someone else's kid. Mentor the parents or take the kids away, get rid of the judges that put these kids back out on the streets. Hard time is the way to go.
^^Thanks. Hey look! Maude's on!

Delete^^^ No fair to Chimpy to say he "doesn't know who his father was", his Mother is pretty sure it was one of the twelve guys at the Party she was invited to that night. At least that's something.
ReplyDeleteCome on, Chimpy, dance for us some more, the day's still young!
Oh trust me, he will.
DeleteEvery post, every day. He needs to be a happy Chimpy!
