COMMUNITY ACTIVIST COALITION DEMANDS MURDER CHARGE AGAINST KCPD!!!

A push for a bad policy change along with criminal charges:

"Local groups, including the Metro Organization for Racial and Economic Equity, the Kansas City branch of the NAACP and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, organized on Sept. 19. They want Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker to charge the police officer with murder in the controversial police shooting death. They also are demanding local control of the Kansas City police department."

Family of man shot and killed by police demanding Kansas City cop be charged with murder

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The family of a man shot and killed by police in May are demanding that the officer who killed Terrence Bridges be charged with murder. Relatives say that Bridges, 30, had moved to Kansas City from Chicago to get away from gun violence.

  1. So he moved away from Chicago to get away from gun violence. That would mean he was involved with gun violence and violence in general. So he most likely has a violent past which led him to a violent encounter with police. This led to him getting shot. There is always more to the story but past behavior is a pretty good predictor.

  2. Local control of the police department would make Kansas City indistinguishable from Baltimore.

  4. What are the facts? I’m not going to jump on anymore bandwagons without a long list of facts. Sometimes, people put themselves in positions to get hurt. Not that I believe that KCPD is upstanding or at all on the side of citizens but the facts will show who to support - not just that it was a Black man vs the cops. That’s everyday Kansas City and miraculously, we seem to survive day by day. I need to know the facts of the cause of why this guy didn’t.

  5. Why don't we just get rid of the police and see how that works out for these idiots? Police yourselves, activists.

  6. Here's KCMO well on its way toward another 150+ homicide year in 2019, and this is what these "activists" are concerned about?
    When you're a hammer, the whole world's a nail.
    The narrative never changes.
    In spite of the facts.
    Willful ignorance.

  9. Support the thin blue line. Where can I donate more ammo to the force?

  10. Obviously, this poor innocent guy was minding his own business and the cop just decided to shoot him.

  12. Let’s look at the facts in this story. Police were there because they where called there because of the actions of Mr. Bridges. They did not show up because of racism they showed up to investigate alleged crimes commmitted. “Could not have been a car jacking because he had the keys”. The definition of car jacking is stealing a car so you do have the keys. So 2 crimes have been committed at this point. It is agreed Bridges is the suspect in all crimes committed at this point. Might he have a side, yes but when he showed up he chose to run. At every step Bridges had the choice not to commit crimes or make bad decisions, he made bad choices and it cost him his life.
