This week 12th & Oak is dedicated to pushing the illusion of progress after big money backed by taxpayers hasn't garnered many results.
Alternative to local hype . . .
CITY HALL FEARS AN INCREASINGLY TAX WEARY KANSAS CITY AND WORKS DILIGENTLY TO JUSTIFY MORE CASH UPCOMING DEMANDS FROM VOTERS!!!
A quick & EXCLUSIVE run down . . .
- Schools want property tax money.
- Another public safety tax is already in the works.
- Rising water rates will demand more cash from voters under the threat of continued shutoffs.
And so . . .
KCMO IS BUSY PROMOTING THE ILLUSION OF PROGRESS IN ORDER TO KEEP THEIR HANDS IN THE POCKETS OF TAXPAYERS!!!
Meanwhile, locals are still waiting for . . .
- Sidewalks in the Northland.
- That new, expensive doggie shelter.
- Urban core street work beyond the high profile areas ripe for gentrification.
Here's the latest salvo . . .
"On April 4, 2017, voters overwhelmingly approved an $800 million comprehensive capital improvements program to use revenue created by issuing general obligation bonds each year for 20 years. The money will pay for infrastructure improvements across the city that has long been deferred. The effort has been branded GO KC."
Take a look the latest video update on the hype and empty promises:
You decide . . .
If you live downtown, the go bonds have worked out nicely.
ReplyDeleteIf not, you're screwed.
What always seemed unfair about the general obligation bonds is that KC voters were misled all the way through the process. Yes, people are happy to give money to pay for a better city and news resources but they never told us that the buck o'neil bridge would need complete repair.
DeleteIt all just turned out to be a bait and switch. That's why taxpayers would do well to remember the deception next time they're hit up for money.
^^ +2
DeleteVoters were mislead? They volunteered to be mislead without any serious question about how the money would be used and where. Voters in Kansas City vote based on who is delivering the message and how likable they are. Voters are overly social dead heads. I know that anything a politician says is a lie.
DeleteAnd yet progress is being made all over the city. Weird.
ReplyDelete7:29 and yet it’s not and besides, how would you know? You don’t because you don’t live in reality. Not weird that you are weird.
ReplyDeleteTell it, 7:34! These brain-rot toilet water guzzler idjits lie like the good-for-nothing DemonRats they are! Murder momentum, potholes, terrorist "teens", undesirable public schools, tax assessments debacles, and MORE. So, what's not to like in the FUBAR "Kcrumbling, Kcrimmie, Kcorrupt Kcowtown of the Pains", or the "City of Somewhat Functional Fountains"?!
DeleteIt was a scam, no ifs ands or buts about it, they lied. Sad.
ReplyDeleteIt was a scam, no ifs ands or buts about it, they lied. Sad.
ReplyDeleteAll the shit work that looks new for a week then starts the process of falling apart or reveals flaws and sub par design and then has to be redone over and over and over again at taxpayers expense speaks for itself.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDelete@ 7:29 You just can't seem to broaden your vocabulary can you? If you noticed this is propaganda and nothing was said about bike lanes that are not used in the city, it's also in black areas that are so dangerous no one goes or walks there, in the meantime people who pay the most in taxes are ignored, like the ward Pkwy corridor and take a look at 55th street to stateline and everything in between.
So take your stupid weird and shove it up your stupid liberal ass.
How many routine repairs, how many computers, how much furniture will be bought with the bond proceeds? Then the computers are thrown away after 3 years but the taxpayers are paying for them another 17 years.
ReplyDeleteGovernments part taxpaying citizens from their money using methods that would put business persons in prison for years. And those citizens keep falling for the scams. Grifters can only dream of marks that are such pushovers.
ReplyDeleteHand me those terrific pills so I can say how Terrific these GoBonds have been for this Terrific City!
ReplyDeleteHave any of you pants-shitters ever left your rented trailers in Frogville? How would any of you goons know what's going on in the city? The fact that so may of you are posting this early means that none of you have jobs to go to or anybody to see. You just sit all day in your fetid diapers complaining about anything and everything! Tony does a great job by doling out new stories guaranteed to make you shit yourselves in phony indignation and manufactured anger, and like rats looking for their cheese, you goons swallow the bait every time.
ReplyDelete8:12, yeah, we know it's your lying, buttboiz cheerleaders' worms you're swallowing in that Section ape BathHouse, between non-stop guzzling of the Killa Shitty murder momentum, soon to bankrupt, blight abounds, tax rip-offs, jail hell, crap infrastructure TOILET WATER!
DeleteWhere do you think they got the money to waste on more streetcars for the tourist to ride?
ReplyDeleteWhat's the problem. They did sidewalks and curbs on 55th off Ward Parkway.
ReplyDelete8:12 go wipe some shit off old people’s ass’s that must be your fantasy. Weird
ReplyDelete8:12 and yet you are here all day. Not weird at all since we pay your food and rent.
ReplyDelete8:12: Thanks for your input, gopher. Maybe you should get out of downtown once in a while and come at least as far south as Waldo.
ReplyDelete8:12 Hey dipshit, how do I know what's going on in the city? I live here and pay the damn taxes that you moronic democrat, SJW, socialist, welfare loving, police hating, communist shiteads keep voting in.
ReplyDeleteHave a Cigar
ReplyDeleteI actually laughed when the voters passed this. They actually thought they were going to get something out of this.
LOL
SLie lied and the taxpayers fell for the scam. The Go Bond money was probably slated for other payoffs before the passage of the bonds. KCMO's financial model is nothing more than a Ponzi scheme. Rob Peter to pay Paul. The failed pre-K tax was probably another part of the scheme. Taxpayers need to get used to this as there is more to come.
ReplyDelete^^just as there are more complaining good-for-nothing comments to come from cry-baby shitflakes like you!
ReplyDeleteSure it was a rip off same as the street car and the airport were.
ReplyDelete^^and yet it wasn't at all. Weird.
ReplyDelete^^Yes you're one weird ill informed person and that ain't weird at all.
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteDemocrats be scammin'
as usual
Repubturds be thievin' as usual.
ReplyDeleteThe city’s budget is nothing more than a Ponzi scheme. Every time you vote for more taxes, you keep the scheme.going.
ReplyDelete^^^You have Tourette's??? or are you stroking out???? You seem retarded.
ReplyDelete^^^ no dumbass I posted that comment without seeing someone else had already had the same idea. Regardless it’s still worth repeating.
DeleteTourette's or too much Kellyanne Conway Kool Aid, I'd bet.
ReplyDelete^^^care to explain why it’s not a Ponzi scheme? Or you’d just rather prove the point that you have nothing meaningful to contribute to the conversation.
