Amid an overly crowded and embattled prison system, here's hope for reform and a call to prayer . . . Apropos for Sunday:
From murderers to ministers, new Missouri program will make preachers behind bars
JEFFERSON CITY - Missouri could soon have a small army of ministers behind bars in the state's 20 lock-ups. Under a program expected to get underway in December, the Missouri Department of Corrections is joining forces with Hannibal-LaGrange University to launch college-level classes designed to train murderers, rapists and other long-term inmates to be ministers.
A noble goal. How long before the bigots at THE KANSAS CITY ATHEIST COALITION stroke out over this?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, anybody around here know stringy haired Josh? That guy is a GAS! I mean, he just KILLS ME! Bahahahahahahaha!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnybody can become a preacher, you can do it online, it doesn’t mean a thing if you don’t take it seriously.
ReplyDeleteMake them all preachers I could care less long as they stay behind bars.
ReplyDeleteThey will become preachers long enough to fool the parole boards.
ReplyDeleteYou can still pray behind bars.
Will one group get free prayer rugs and a compass pointing toward Mecca?
ReplyDeleteOh good. State sponsored religion. What could go wrong with this?
