Report: Jericho Home Improvement Honcho Confronts DUI & Police Beat Down Charges

For those who don't watch late night TV, for now the Youtube page is still up offering pretty great deals on kitchen & bath remodeling . . . Meanwhile, the pitch man seen here might also need to spruce up his image:

Local CEO arrested for battery of a law enforcement officer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - John Bartrom, the CEO of Jericho Home Improvement, LLC, was arrested Friday in Johnson County on several charges stemming from a DUI incident. He is charged with DUI, obstruction of the legal process and battery of a law enforcement officer.

Comments

  1. TKC,leave it alone. How is this arrest any more "newsworthy" than the other countless DUI and assaulting the police arrests in the KC area?

  2. Police needed a mug shot in bed. I bet they wanted to make sure the media had a nice picture.

    1. Drunkass fool very likely couldn't stand up for booking pics! He might have been dizzy or nauseous at that point, and the nice popos had him secured, to keep him from injuring his drunk self. Or, get this, he tried to go all tuffnuts at the arrest and hurt himself, so he's prolly still strapped on an ambulance gurney until his ass and can be safely secured away from the detention staff, and then Juiced-Up and Sloppy John gets his ride to come pick him up! Hurray! No further threats to public safety personnel and to the public!

  3. I wonder if this will help his business.

  4. He looks relaxed. Maybe JOCO jails have something better than KCMO's 1516 Campbell.

  5. THANK YOU for not leaving it alone, Mr. T. Drunk, drugged, raged, and distracted drivers INJURE and KILL too many.

7:06 -- Perhaps, a bit of public shaming for the VIOLENT DRUNKS...prominent citizens, especially...might get these COUNTLESS dangerous acts curbed!

  6. That company is real douchey. They only want the expensive high end projects....until that dries up and then they will serve the common folk for an inflated price.

  7. I have always thought that he was cute.
I will take care of him through his trials.
    With my mouth.

  8. Man, gotta assume this guy does pretty well, just take an uber. I hear they do great work but are expensive. They give you a timeline up front and don't deviate from it with zero surprises.

  12. Why are no media outlets besides KSHB and Tony reporting this? Is it because of the huge amount of money he spends on advertising?

  14. His wife didn't call the police, she wasn't even home. There is no one other than KSHB reporting because the only news here is what you don't know and that the charges against him are bogus and will be dropped. He is a man of Faith and that cannot be questioned of disputed. When you see him on TV, does he look like he is on drugs or strung out? Don't believe everything others are putting in these comments, think for yourselves for once. Or maybe get lives and don't judge others when you are not above it all yourselves nor have any details of what happened and is happening.

I am not taking the word of a disgruntled employee who will probably do and say anything because he/she was pissed off they were probably fired. Not too credible of a source.

  15. Just read this article and comments. Obviously the same person leaving multiple comments and hateful lies. Either you don’t know John or have some personal vendetta. It’s easy to post hate anonymously and you have to be the lowest of the low gutter mentality to do so. Some of the things said are so absurd it’s laughable. Talking about “neighbors”? He lives out in the country, he doesn’t have neighbors. Pretty big red flag of trying to disparage a good person. He’s never had the police called on him or any legal issues in his entire life. That’s pretty easy to verify. I’ve known John for 7 years and have gotten to know him very well. He is one of the most kind, generous men I have ever known. This news article is premature and completely inaccurate as to what happened. There is way more to the story. What really happened to him is horrible and those that posted hateful comments should be ashamed at themselves especially if they knew the truth. He didn’t lay a finger on anyone but was put into hospital for a week and had to have surgery due to his injuries that occurred on his own property from over aggressive LE. That’s where that picture came from, a hospital bed. Anyone can be charged with anything. Doesn’t mean that’s what happened. That’s why we have due process.

  17. I’ve known John for 12 years and these comments are ridiculous. He is one of the most giving, warmhearted people you will ever meet. He has 100’s of people that adore him and has done so much for so many. Obviously someone has an agenda with these comments. Some disgruntled ex-employee that has nothing better to do than to try to spread hate.

  18. Facts are facts, this guy is an arrogant SOB. He did say"do you know who Iam" then attacked an officer and verbally abused JOCO south Fire district first responders. Those who say they know him just found out the real devil that lives within... Court date coming loser.

  19. ^^^^ You are just quoting the charging documents. Innocent until proven guilty! That is the American way.
