New pre-K education location in Midtown hopes to fill need

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - It was a proposal championed by former Kansas City, Missouri, Mayor Sly James: Universal pre-K education for children across the city. However, that idea 66 to 34 percent by voters in April. Leaders with the United Inner City Services said in an effort to fill the gap, they've added another preschool location in a heavily-populated transit stop.

I've said it before, and it bears repeating. These poor kids are given a head start in their lives, until they end up in regular KCMO schools where all that good book-larning evaporates. The birth moms & dads won't follow up with reading to the kids, and insisting that education IS important. It's like feeding a starving person for a year and then cutting off the food.

How do we know this? You anonymous cowards all look alike to me.

More evil racism masquerading as wisdom.

I know you are very excited about this website and all. I don’t mean to offend you but this is not that good. Most of the space is empty and the blog content is given inside a frame which makes it boring.
