No. Read the story. You linked to a progressive blog that is reporting that REPUBLICAN party officials have been meeting about his possible resignation. There is a long history of the party undermining Watkins. The GOP was actively sabotaging his candidacy during the 2018 primary, also detailed in the story.

In the last news cycle, you posted another link with a quote from a Democratic party official who said this whisper campaign to force Watkins out should stop - and if the GOP want him out, then primary him.

Progressives are not looking for his resignation. Get the basics right. This is amateur hour stuff. Embarrassing. Sad.
