Kansas Doubts Abstinence-Only Sex Ed

A noble idea doesn't work in the real world and good intentions actually lead to nasty outcomes in the end . . . Here's the latest update in a longstanding debate:

KDHE's Lee Norman: Abstinence-only policy not remedy to unwanted pregnancies

The top administrator at the Kansas Department of Health and Environment said Thursday abstinence-only education programs were inadequate to sufficiently reduce unwanted pregnancies and moderate the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.Secretary Lee Norman, who has experience as a family physician, hospital system executive and military medical officer, said KDHE could help reduce unwanted pregnancy in Kansas and diminish demand for abortions by broadening standard educational offerings to

  1. It takes a real stupid person to not know how to prevent an unwanted pregnancy. Then it takes an even stupider person to kill their baby and think it's O.K. to do it.

    1. It's better to abort the fetus than for me to have to hear it later in a store when I go shopping.

  5. Why not try "Abstinence" again?

After all, it worked so great in the 1900s, 1910s, 1920s, 1930s, 1940s and 1950s - there were absolutely no unwanted pregnancies, abortions, emergency out-of-town "tonsillectomies", abandoned children, suicides of young women, or anything like that then, were there?

  6. Have to agree with 11:27 a.m. - OK - how many adults out here remember these: Just pull out before you come; douche with a soda; hold your breath and you won't get pregnant; pray real hard. Now remember how many girls got pregnant. The best prevention is INFORMATION and access to prevent unwanted babies.

  7. PARENTS, not political operatives reaching into public schools, should decide what and when to inform their kids about sex education, AT SCHOOL AND HOME. Public schools in Crazy Commie Californication are now ordered to teach their seXXX education curriculum STARTING AT KINDERGARTEN, wherein 5 YEAR OLDS ARE TOLD THEY CAN CHOOSE WHAT GENDER THEY WANT TO BE!!!!!! The approved lesson books with illustrations show the ballerina dressed boy that gets to be a girl, and it EXPLAINS that his parents "assigned" his gender at birth to be a boy (you know, giving him a MALE name/NO DRESSES in his wardrobe, NO bows in his hair), but must love and accept him as the girl he chooses to be!!!!!! There are other books used for the Gay Parented families lesson. And, a mention in the lesson is approved for explaining when another ballerina boy waits until he's a Kardashian step-dad to TRANS to a step-mom type of lesson. BECAUSE, 5 YEAR OLDS NEED TO KNOW MOM OR DAD, WAIT....MOM AND DAD, MIGHT DECIDE TO GENDER JUMBLE AND CHANGE THEIR FIRST NAMES, GET A WHOLE NEW WARDROBE, MAYBE WEAR WIGS....WHAT-THE-FUCK?!....THEY'RE 5 YEARS OLD!!!!!!

The ACLU, GLSEN, California Teachers Union, and wacko lobbyists pushed AB329 that got passed as Education Bill 51930-51939. In it, teens and early teens are presented with GOING WAY TOO FAR FUBAR seXXX talks with loads of graphics.....topics like safe sex toys, anal, lubes, group sex, TECHNIQUES for sex acts to ENHANCE PLEASURE....NO SHIT....AND NO WONDER PARENTS, TEACHERS, GRANDPARENTS, AND PROFESSIONALS IN PEDIATRICS, PSYCHOLOGY, AND MORE, PROTESTED AND FOUGHT AGAINST MOST OF THE CONTENT IN THE CURRICULUM. Very many thousands are opting their kids out of the AB329/51930-51939 seXXX CRAP!!!!!!

And, there's plenty of AB329 approved supplemental books THAT JUST HAPPENED TO GET PUBLISHED in time for this progressive seXXX ed in Crazy Commie Californication.....Hmmmmm.....Publishing and Media Corporations' lobbyists....Liberals....Leftists....

  9. Reliance on abstinence creates teenage parents. That is how nature (or Nature's God) designed us.

No, Phil, having (hetero) sex WAY TOO DAMNED YOUNG creates TEEN PARENTS! No other birth control is 100% effective, but ABSTINENCE is!

God designed us to better discern consequences as we mature from children into adults. Little kids are supposed to be taught to not grab the candy from the store shelf and pocket it, or unwrap and eat it without paying first. If parents, teachers, coaches, older siblings, and whoever else in teens' spheres of influences are mentoring decent morals, then those teens are likely to abstain and to avoid pregnancy. The permissive parents who say to their teen daughters, "Since you're (probably) having sex, let's get you on birth control", or to their teen sons, "I hope your girlfriend is on birth control" are much more commonplace than two generations ago. It's societal change, and it's not good morals. It is shocking that some Catholics are accepting of teen sex and abortion.
