ReplyDeleteThis is a meeting on opioid and the tremendous effect that’s taken place over the last little period of time. And I’m very proud of it and the people working so hard on it.
So how are we doing with coming up with a cure to the opioid? Meaning, I’ve instructed every single agency to work on this — with Dr. Collins and all of the folks — on a painkiller that’s not addictive. And you would think they could do that. You would see — you see common medicines sold over the counter that aren’t totally ineffective, right?
So, what we are doing is we have been successful in using combinations of over-the-counter medicines — things as simple as aspirin; things that have been around since the late 19th century. And we are finding that those have the same or greater effect when it comes to treating pain. They’re not addictive. They’re not influencing the brain.
So the same or greater. How come nobody knows that?
The things we're doing in our country today, there's never been anything like it, we will be ending the AIDS epidemic shortly in America, and curing childhood cancer very shortly.
I have had a very rough life. Worst than 95% of you. But I am NOT dumb. I have never used drugs and never will. And I don't smoke. There is no reason for anyone to use drugs just for "fun". I have no sympathy for those recreational users that accidentally kill themselves. I mean really -you wanna have fun and end up killing yourself? How stupid and foolish. That's the dumbest most irresponsible way to ever die.
ReplyDeleteThe vast majority of opioid addicts got hooked by their doctor acting as dealer and the pharmaceutical as the cartel lying about the highly addictive nature of their products.

I'm glad you never had a dentist prescribe addictive painkillers for your wisdom teeth extraction or a doctor that treated your joint pain with opioids.
