  1. We had a Port Authority with no Port. Now we have Port KC with no Port. Not unlike the council used to Recognize An Emergency to do an end-run around the Charter. Now it's Recognizing An Accelerated Effective Date. The pea is under which shell again??

    Spot-on!

Port KC currently exists almost solely as a special entity allowing developers to leverage tax-advantaged financing. It's a bad joke, and their leader Jon Stephens (frequent Ruckus panelist) is the poster-child for political patronage.

    Shut it down.

  4. Spot on. Port Authority has greatly overstepped it's boundaries. They are counterproductive to the well-being of the City!
