Kansas City Royals Best Wishes: Billionaires Will Protect Delicate Fanboys?!?!?

Hundreds of diehard baseball fans will be devastated if/when the home team leaves town. Here's an optimistic perspective that mistakenly puts far too much faith corporate leadership. Take a look:

David Glass selling the Royals is the best thing for everyone

A bombshell. That was the reaction to the report from Ken Rosenthal and Jayson Stark at The Athletic late Tuesday that David Glass was in discussions to sell the Royals to businessman John Sherman. When something like this drops, it triggers a million questions. In this case there is one that overrides all the others.

  2. The owners of cerner tried for years to get the royals but they were turned down over and over, i'm surprised they haven't been mentioned as potential buyers, but then again maybe they don't want them anymore

  5. The owners of Cerner have passed away. Both husband and wife, of cancer about 2 years ago. Glass could have made a fortune had he not bought the Royals and invested his money in Apple stock. Pride does come before the fall. Now the fall is here.

  6. Its interesting that the Bible, and Jesus and other religions never discuss sports. Probably because it really doesn't matter, its the ultimate version of pride, conceit, claiming to be better than others, and making someone a loser. Sports doesn't teach character, respect, or love. if it did, the world would be a different place. Today's sports star will be a frail old man that nobody cares about someday - players are used like a disposable hooker.

  7. Ah, here's the plan: First the Royals announce they MIGHT move. Then they entertain ideas to stay here. Only plan is to build them a brand new stadium on the taxpayer dime. See if it comes true.

  8. Who cares about the loser Royals and their lame fans. Anyone notice their stadium has been empty for the past 3 years? Let the Royals leave for all I care. Bye Felicia. Don't let the door hit you.
