  1. Having your own Party Leaders running around screaming "Somebody please get this dumb bastard out of office!" hardly constitutes a "whisper campaign" against Watkins, IMHO.

  3. ON THE ISSUE OF KCMO HOMICIDES
    (9:40 mark to 14:00)

Haines framed the issue by stating that there have been 16 additional homicides in KC since the program last aired, discussing the murder of an OPKS woman at First Fridays.

Pete Mundo made the point that Mayor Lucas' predecessor made it a practice to throw his hands up in the air and blame Jefferson City for KC's gun violence.

How interesting then that this panel, dominated by liberal journalists, then followed suit by blaming MO's Republican Governor and Legislature for KC's problem!

Why is it SO EXCEEDINGLY DIFFICULT for some people in KCMO to take responsibility for their own problems? Is it because they'd have to admit that their entrenched Democratic Party leadership is a major contributing factor? KC's last non-Democrat Mayor was Richard Berkley who left office in 1991. Since then it's been a procession of dysfunctional clown cars spilling out characters like Cleaver, Barnes, Funkhouser, James, and now DUI Law "Professor" Lucas. Folks, the circus came to KC almost 30 years ago, and they never packed up their tent and left. It's a dying shame.
