Honestly hope this one doesn't inspire hateration because this important news item reminds us that diverse communities have diverse needs and this local population also has a human right to healthcare access. Take a look:
Program to help transgender people get access to health care
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Reports show that LGBTQ people are less likely to have access to health care for many reasons, including insurance issues, cost and bias. For the at least 28,000 people in the Kansas City region who are transgender, four organizations are working to make it easier to access health care.
These things are making insurance premiums go through the roof for everybody else, how many millions of dollars per person are wasted on these selfish bastards?

ReplyDeleteKSHB: INCOMPLETE AND OPAQUE NEWS REPORTING
ReplyDelete"Reports show that LGBTQ people are less likely to have access to health care for many reasons, including insurance issues, cost and bias."
Exactly what reports show this to be accurate?
Why would LGBTQ people have less access to health care because of their sexual orientation? I think this is a false premise.
Additionally, I do not believe the statement "at least 28,000 people in the Kansas City region are transgender." The transgender population represents almost a statistically insignificant percentage of the population (I'm not saying these people aren't worthy).
It is estimated that about 0.005% to 0.014% of people assigned male at birth and 0.002% to 0.003% of people assigned female at birth would be diagnosed with gender dysphoria, based on 2013 diagnostic criteria.
Gender dysphoria (GD) is the distress a person feels due to their birth-assigned sex and gender not matching their gender identity. People who experience gender dysphoria are typically transgender.
Shame on KSHB and sloppy media in general for spreading misinformation simply because their industry is eager to promote anything alternative to the traditional heterosexual 2-parent family unit.
O jesus so getting your genitals mutilated causes you to need more medical care. Let's try more preventive care...psychiatric care.
