Kansas City Homicide #100: KCPD Shoots & Captures Suspect After Double Shooting

Police called to deadly double shooting gunfight and takes the suspected gunman into custody. Here's the best report of the situation so far:

1 dead, 2 injured in shooting involving off-duty KCPD officer

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - One man died and two others were injured, one critically, in a shooting Thursday afternoon involving an off-duty Kansas City, Missouri, police officer, police said. Shortly after 2 p.m., a citizen contacted the off-duty officer, who was working security at a nearby business, about a disturbance near East 14th Street and Bellefontaine Avenue.

  3. Good to know that after all the hoopla and rah rah about Lucas' new "teen gun ordinance" that KCPD estimates that six of the current homicide SUSPECTS might be teens.
    So out of 100 murders, the ordinance addresses 6% of the issue.
    At this rate, how many years does Lucas plan on being mayor?
    On to the next town hall meeting!
